A PUBLIC ART EXHIBITION ON SW TAYLOR BETWEEN 3RD AND 4TH IN PORTLAND, OREGON
Presented by The Portland Darkroom + Benjamin Gregory Outreach Fund + Portland Camera Club

OUTSIDE is an ongoing collaborative project with Portland’s homeless community and photographer Keith Z (@kn0ww0rries)
Combining photography, social work, and real stories from Portland's homeless community, OUTSIDE seeks to deepen public understanding through authentic representation and conversation. As a recovering addict and alcoholic who experienced homelessness for several years, Keith draws on his lived experience to guide his work and connection with participants.
All photography in the project emerges from long-term relationships built on trust. Every image is created with consent, and every story is shared authentically, representing voices in our community that are too often unheard.
OUTSIDE aims to amplify the voices of the homeless community by humanizing their experience. Making people visible through shared stories, and meaningful community dialogue.
ADVOCATE FOR HOUSING FIRST POLICY IN PORTLAND!
Housing First advocacy is a justice-driven movement that demands housing as a fundamental human right, not a reward for compliance. Activists challenge systems that criminalize poverty and force people to “earn” shelter through sobriety, treatment, or employment.
Housing First calls for immediate, permanent housing for people experiencing homelessness, paired with voluntary support services that respect autonomy and dignity. Grounded in evidence and lived experience, this advocacy pushes governments to redirect funding away from punitive, ineffective models and toward solutions that center compassion, equity, and collective responsibility.
