Portland Camera Club is a conceptual 'third space' for photography where curiosity and creativity meet — a welcoming home for photographers, artists, and anyone drawn to the magic of image-making. Equal parts camera shop, art exhibition, and community hub, it’s a place to explore, experiment, and learn together.
We believe photography should be accessible, approachable, and fun. With a focus on keeping barriers low, we invite everyone to engage with the art and craft of photography. Inspired by the spirit of a neighborhood coffee shop, our space encourages people to drop in, share a conversation, explore, and connect through creativity.
Our 2025 Pop-Up at 832 SW 4th is presented in collaboration with The Portland Darkroom, a longstanding pillar of Portland’s photography community. This project is made possible by a grant from the 2025 PDX Pop-Up Program, which enabled us to refurbish a long-vacant retail space in downtown Portland. We've turned this space into something truly unique, and on our opening night we drew over 300 people to downtown Portland to celebrate our city and our community.
We’ve curated an image collection that showcases photography across a range of price points—both accessible and collectible—featuring emerging and established artists with strong ties to Oregon. The selection celebrates the diverse voices, styles, and stories that define contemporary photography.
Everything we do is about building community, inspiring curiosity, and celebrating photography together. The pop-up will be open for a limited run this November and December.
