Anyone wishing to join the Club is welcome to attend any of the regular Wednesday meetings - apart from the AGM. Simply turn up and make yourself known. Usually, no charge is made for a first visit and then anyone can simply just pay nightly if they wish to do so without commitment. We welcome anyone interested in photography at any level of ability.
This runs from early September to May each year and consists of 18 club nights at fortnightly intervals with short breaks around Christmas and Easter. There are usually four additional "Summer Outing" events arranged between June and August. We also have other events such as informal meet-ups and an end-of-season social night.
These are held on alternate Wednesday evenings usually from 7:30pm and lasting until around 9:30-9:45pm. We meet in the Peter Trim Hall at the St. Georges Centre, Reforne, which is accessed via the narrow double doors next to the pavement. This season's meeting dates run from 06/09/17 to 23/05/18 with breaks between the meetings of 13/12/17 and 10/01/18 for Christmas and between 28/03/18 and 11/04/18 for Easter.
The Club needs to charge a membership fee to pay for the following:-
- Rent for the hall;
- Updating and maintaining its equipment;
- W.C.P.F & P.A.G.B. Subscriptions;
- Public liability insurance;
- Guest judge's fees or expenses.
Fees for the 2017-18 season
Membership for the whole season may be paid in two ways - either a single payment of £35 or three instalments of £12 at regular intervals. Alternatively, casual members may pay £2.50 for each meeting they attend.
The Club operates with a Committee which includes the posts of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Programme Secretary and Competition Secretary. There are also deputy posts for all of the above and a few further general Committee Member posts. Committee meetings are held throughout the year and we have an A.G.M. in May.
